Hospital-new

We all get ill. And when we are ill we go see our family doctor. He may prescribe a suitable medication for us to follow until we recover or if he finds that we are in need of special medical assistance, he may direct us to a specialist.

The trouble starts here. The specialists are costly. And they have lengthy queues outside their consultation theatres. And their service can turn out to be unprofessional and uncaring. And – yes, this is why you are taking your time to read this article seeking a medical service somewhere around the world where they have none of the issues you are facing in your country.

Sri Lanka is going to be your ideal choice in this regard. One good reason; Sri Lankans are naturally kind hearted. Another reason; medical costs are comparatively modest. That does not mean that the medical attention you get once you are on a hospital bed in Sri Lanka would be inferior and unsatisfactory. We guarantee you would not only be satisfied of what we have for you in our hospitals, you would be delighted.

And we have everything here ready for you. Blood Banks, Cardiac Thoracic Services, Kidney Care, Fertility Centres, Diagnostic Services, Mother and Baby Care, On Call Medical Consultants (Specialists), General Surgery, Nuclear Medicine Centres, Dental Clinics, Eye Clinics, Health Checks, Cosmetic Centres, Elderly Care, 24 Hour Pharmacy Services, Intensive Care Units…you name it. We have it.

In Sri Lanka Hospitals are mainly of three types; Government, Semi-government and Private. Only a handful of Government Hospitals functions on a par with internationally acceptable standards but it should be mentioned here that MBBS qualified, truly well experienced Doctors with Government Registration are most easily accessible for free only when you are admitted in to a state owned hospital.

Once you are in a private hospital there is a slight risk that they may fail to acquire the services of a qualified doctor when you need it most.

But the amenities you would be provided for in a private hospital are no match for what is available in an inadequately equipped, unsanitary government hospital. When you are sick comfort should come first. So let us take a look at key private hospitals that are genuinely concerned about that.

In addition to these renowned health care providers there are many more down the line, dedicated to ensure your good health. In fact there are some private health institutions positioned in major cities in the country that have won the hearts of residents in the region to such an extent that they rarely make up their mind to visit Colombo. A good example is the Phillips Hospital in Kalutara.

But there can be drawbacks like language barriers and poor coordination with government certified doctors in those little known private hospitals. So better to check on the reviews about the hospital you are going to admit.
We hope when you leave Sri Lanka, that you would leave it in better health than when you arrived. See you there then. Get well soon!

There is no doubt about it. When it comes to the very best, Lanka Hospitals (https://www.lankahospitals.com/en/) is probably on top of all, due to many factors. This might be considered a personal preference. If so then it is for good reason. Starting off, they are committed, compassionate and genuinely care about their patients. Secondly they use cutting edge facilities to provide the best service available. Lanka Hospitals is by far the most trustworthy hospital that I have come across. Being a senior citizen, I always need individual attention. For that I always look up for Lanka Hospitals.

Lanka Hospital is excellent health care facility in Sri Lanka matching international standards at Sri Lankan rates. But my complaint is I am a senior citizen and have to get there very often for my treatment. Getting there is no problem. But after my treatment, I have to hang around there for a long time to get a trishaw to get back home. It is tiring for me a patient with complicated ailments.
On inquiry, I was told that the Chairman of this hospital has left instructions that ONLY 02 trishaws should be allowed at the Hospital parking lot and no other trishaws. Invariably, these 02 trishaws are out on hire most of the time and only God knows when they will return after their hires. In the meantime, patients like me are left kicking their heels for want of transport – a trishaw to get back home.
Please Mr Chairman, would you please arrange a trishaw stand at your spacious Hospital premises for the sake of your departing patients? But you can also please instruct your security personnel to monitor them to prevent malpractises and thuggery!
Thank you Mr Chairman. Keep up the best services in Hospital services in Sri Lanka unmatched by other government and private hospitals in Sri Lanka!
