9 Day Tour Dambulla/ Sigiriya – Kandy – Nuwara Eliya – Bentota/ Galle Economy

Day 1- Airport / Colombo
Transfer to Colombo, the business capital of Sri Lanka. In the evening do a city tour covering Independence Square, business district, galleries, temples. Enjoy the evening sunset in beach front Galle Face Green.
Day 2 & 3 – Dambulla/ Sigiriya
Visit Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage en route to Dambulla. One of its kind in the world, won‟t get a better chance elsewhere to see a large no of elephants at a place. Dambulla rock temple, a UNESCO Site. It is the most impressive of Sri Lanka‟s cave temples.
The temple complex consists of five caves with painted walls and ceilings. The Sigiriya rock fortress is a UNESCO Heritage Site, the palace of 5th century King Kasyapa. The lion shaped rock situated in a fortified area surrounding a water ring, trench and a rampart.
And famous for the world-renowned frescoes of the Sigiriya ” Maidens of the Clouds”. Don‟t miss the village tour and elephant back safari in Habarana.
Day 4 – Kandy
Visit a tropical spice garden en-route to Kandy. You will be introduced to whole lot of spices Sri Lanka is famous for, learn how the spices are grown and processing. Kandy is the last capital of the Kings before British took control of the entire country in 1815.
The sacred city is a UNESCO Heritage Site, home to the sacred tooth relic “Sri Dalada Maligawa”. Temple visit, cultural show and Kandy city tour; lake drive, bazar, handicraft shops, gem museum and lapidaries.
Day 5 & 6 – Nuwara Eliya
Tea estate and factory visit; enjoy trekking through the lush green tea plants and learn how Pure Ceylon Tea is made. Nuwara Eliya often referred to as „Little England‟, with English country village feel to it.
Take short treks to the waterfalls and valleys around the countryside. Nuwara Eliya and surroundings filled with scenic mountains and breathtaking landscapes. Trekking to Horton Plains Park is optional.
Day 7 & 8 – Bentota / Galle
The Bentota beach a popular beach spot in Asia, one of the finest beach hotspot in Sri Lanka. The golden sandy and palm beaches are not only famous for sun seeking travelers; the southern sea is rich with marine life and vegetation. Bentota lagoon is a perfect for water sports; jet skiing, surfing, or boat rides.
Ambalangoda is famous for handicrafts, traditional masks and other wood carvings. The Dutch Fort in Galle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Galle was center of Dutch rule in 17th century. The Dutch era buildings and houses preserved to till date, when you walking down the narrow streets of the Galle Fort you would experience the old world difference.
Day 9 – Departure
Free at your own at the beach. According to your departure time you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
