Nugegoda as a city was developed over the years and is considered as one of the highly residential areas amongst Colombo suburbs. This was one of the highly developed cities amongst the rest of cities except few places such as Bambalapitiya and Kolpetty. One of the major recent developments in the city was the development of the Fly-over Bridge that was built concentrating on the traffic.

Nugegoda city is one of the ideal cities for one to settle in, as it fulfils many factors considered when purchasing a land, house or an apartment. There are number of schools in the city itself that are considered as good schools and they are located not far away from the city centre. These schools cater to people from all walks of life and from different socioeconomic backgrounds. Nugegoda Supermarket is one of the buildings that are known to most public as a place that offers many services; specifically to the residents living in the city.  It is one of the constructions that has a history of more than two decades and could be considered as one of the first constructions in the entire region. Nugegoda city is one of the largest cities amongst the other cities of the Colombo suburbs. It also is equipped with all the other infrastructure that is needed by the public not only of government sector such as post office but also of private sector likes of supermarkets, restaurants, clothes shops etc. Nugegoda city as an area is large and has its’ own suburbs that are of different nature; some could be calm surroundings and some near to the city and could make your life more easy when concerning the access to your needs and wants.
