With the cutting edge technology brought in, we have evolved into a “World Class” tertiary care institute through seven decades, with carefully planned and well executed strategies. Durdans Hospital is equipped with an ultramodern theatre complex comprising eight theatres, fully fledged intensive care units (ICUs), a spacious radiology unit designed with state-of- the-art technology, a well-equipped physiotherapy unit and two catheterization laboratories.

Hosting Sri Lanka’s finest concentration of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, the institution boasts a 15 bedded Heart Command Centre & Heart Station equipped with world-class facilities. The comprehensive range of diagnostic tests, advanced surgical treatments, cardiac rehabilitation and post-operative counseling extends to a comprehensive specialist cardiac care.

Approximately 350 privileged specialist consultants serve with compassion and empathy to the individual needs of our patients and their families, supported by over 2,000 employees; including 15 resident consultants, approximately 50 senior medical officers, highly trained nursing staff, paramedics and non-medical staff.

Durdans Hospital is the first healthcare institution in the history of healthcare in Sri Lanka, to be endorsed by JCI for meeting the Gold Standard in Global Healthcare. In 2014, Joint Commission International (JCI) based in the United States of America, accredited Durdans Hospital with ‘The Gold Seal of Approval’.
