This tour takes you on an adventure from fishing town of Negombo, through to the heavenly highlands of the tea country, and out to the sun-stained beaches of the South Coast, encapsulating the diversity that makes up Sri Lanka. As you make your way from the rolling hills and tea trails of the countryside to the pristine sands and turquoise seas of the coast, you will get a real taste of what this country has to offer.

Day 1
From the airport to Negombo 13km
After picking you up from the airport, we will transfer you to Negombo, an established holiday destination on the west coast characterized by neat canals left by the Dutch and the traditional catamaran boats that line the beach.
Overnight at Villa Araliya

Day 2
Negombo to Habarana 181km
Moving on from Negombo we will drive North for hotter climes, denser jungle, and the ancient cities which define modern day Sri Lanka. Our journey back into the roots of Sri Lankan civilization starts in Dambulla where one of Sri Lanka’s most impressive cave temples stands.
After lunch you will check into your hotel and have an afternoon at leisure. If you feel more adventurous, an elephant ride in the jungle awaits!

Day 3 & 4
Habarana to Kandy 119km
In the morning you will have the option to climb the breathtaking Sigiriya Rock. After the climb you will be taken to Kandy a tour around the city as well as a visit to the well known Temple of the Tooth. After a lovely lunch you will drive out of Kandy and up into the knuckles range. After breakfast the next day, the stunning scenic beauty of the mighty knuckles range awaits you. From bathing in the crystal clear waters of streams nearby to hiking on many of the area’s popular trails, you will experience rural Sri Lanka at its best.

Day 5 & 6
Kandy to Nuwara Eliya 94.6km
This morning you will leave the natural beauty of the Knuckles and return to Kandy to catch the train to Nuwara Eliya. This train journey, famed for its magnificent views of misty mountains and tea trails has often been described as one of the most awe-inspiring routes in the country. Spend the next day exploring the city dubbed as Sri Lanka’s “Little England”.

Day 7 to 9
Nuwara Eliya to Galle 268km
It’s time to leave the Highlands now as you wend your way towards the sun soaked sands of Sri Lanka’s south coast. From here the choice of activities is all yours. From whale and dolphin watching in Mirissa to culture at the Galle Fort and lots of fabulous eats in between, it couldn’t be a better way to spend your last few days..
