Couples who are ready to spend $30,000 for a week’s holiday on a private island in Fiji in a luxurious suite 15 metres underwater resting next to a coral reef, Poseidon Undersea Resort will be for you.
Guests will be flown in for a minimum of a week from the Fijian gateway of Nadi.
This to be known as world’s first underwater, 5 star resort with 24 underwater suites at Poseidon’s Mystery Island will be accessed by way of an elevator from the surface. The design is to set some 70 percent of the suites enveloped in a 100mm thick clear acrylic and guests will be able to control lighting on their slice of reef and even remotely feed the tropical fish. During daylight hours it will be impossible to see into the pods and at night a window film can be used to ensure privacy. Every suite comes with a safety dome and hatch through which divers can enter in the event of an emergency.
Guests have the chance to learn to pilot a mini (Triton) submarine within the lagoon and to dive to some 300 metres in a resort submersible and scuba diving in pristine waters.
Most drinks included will be in the $30,000 charge for the week and the resort offers the usual spa treatments, boutique, water sports and dive shop.
The dive shop offers a line of clothing and accessories including a custom 1000-meter rated titanium dive watch. Fine dining services to be available one on land one below the sea.
Other services will be a library/lounge, theater area, a conference room and a wedding chapel.
