Reviews further detail, however, that this is not the ideal location for you if you plan on flitting to and from the city, dining in town, doing lots of shopping, or frequently going to festivals or events. According to one disgruntled reviewer, “The hotel is a 30-min drive or 40-min tuk-tuk ride to the center of Trincomalee … This means that all your food, drink, activities and any other needs need to be taken care of by the hotel.”

Many reviewers mentioned the spa being very luxurious and comfortable, but some reviewers were unhappy that the services were not free.

Another of the biggest attractions at Uga Jungle Beach is the restaurant, and reviews are full of praise for the excellent food served here. Just keep in mind that meals and drinks are not included in the cost of your stay at the resort, and many reviewers said that, though delicious, the food was expensive.
