A Commission appointed to find solutions to SAITM crisis


A public Commission has been appointed to find solutions to the crises that have cropped up in relation to Malabe Private Medical College.

The appointing of the relevant Commission comprising of 6 members took place at the Colombo BMICH yesterday (12).

The commission will function for 28 days beginning on October 16.

Action has been taken to have its report released on November 19.

The Commission will investigate the commencement of the Malabe Private Medical College, its history, management, current crises that have cropped up in medical education and medical sector because of this college.

Similarly, the Commission has decided to obtain the views of politicians, government officials, student movements, trade unions and students’ parents.
